Singer/songwriter Willis Alan Ramsey is a legend among fans of Americana and Texas country music. Raised in Dallas, Texas, Ramsey recorded his self-titled, and only, album just a few years out of high school. Ramsey’s status as a hero of Texas music has only continued to grow over time. His stirring ballads and story songs about tragic characters including Montana barmaids, small town petty thieves and Woody Gutherie are made to be heard and embraced in a setting like the Odeon, not shouted over in a honkytonk.
